"My old boiler stopped functioning and was leaking horribly over the kitchen. Sam from KAS came to give a quote and explained everything carefully. There was attention to detail when he inspected the radiators in the house and the boiler. After booking the job the follow up conversations with Kim were always immediate and clear and always available. Ross the engineer who came was superb in the way he handled any issue from piping, to drilling and explained everything patiently to me each step of the way. No. A gas boiler has to be installed by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Without a Gas Safe certificate your home insurance can refuse a claim and the manufacturer warranty won't stand. Our registration is 617191.
Usually yes, for a short while. We flush the system and balance every radiator so the new boiler runs properly. If there's a room we can't get into, tell us at the survey and we'll plan around it.
Some households on certain benefits qualify for a free or subsidised boiler through the government's ECO4 scheme. We're not an ECO4 installer, so we'll tell you honestly if you might be eligible and point you at the scheme. If you're not, finance from £21/month is usually the better route.
